We could swop. Today when walking home in the sleet I thought how nice it would be to be in Italy right now. I've spent many holidays there and I love the country, especially the food. But maybe living there wouldn't be that nice, as someone has said:"Italy is a nice country to visit, but not to live in"

I always thought that very few people would like to live in Italy, but I can't express my opinion cause I've never lived in another country, so I can't make a comparison.

BTW, taxes are incredibly high here, according to newspapers; the problem is that higher taxes should imply better services, but in Italy isn't so :(

A good compromise would be to buy an holiday house in Italy

Heh, you don't know ANYTHING about high taxes. Come and visit Finland and you'll see.

I think the Dutch move over here for three reasons
1) It's fun to live in Belgium !!
2) Buying a House seems to be much cheaper in Belgium ... Holland is full
3) To evade "vermogensbelasting" which we don't know, because we pay so many taxes that there is nothing left, so we don't need it
Time is on our side ...
