Why... can u still read it :?:
Some reasonable guesses can be made, and a (really nice triple) hit could be faked by carefully inserting them in the database with some time in between.

I took a guess and came up with a valid serial number at my first attempt.

Uhm, Would you not still need the printer code too? Regardless of whether you had the serial number or not. The printer code consists of both the plate number and position on the plate. That is a lot of guessing, right there.

http://pu.ma/e50hit-nl_to_ca.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There are a lot of possible serials that could be generated that would be valid serial numbers (probably every 1 out of 10 you guessed). That still does not mean they would belong to that particular bill, and getting the correct matching printer code plus serial number (given that six digits are obscured)??? Seems to me like it would be pretty hard to make a fake hit from that picture, not without a hell of a lot of effort.

PS. I was the one that took that photo...

First: Congratz on your nice hit.

Second: No you don't need the correct shortcode for entering a bill. The blurring is not enough on your picture. We had several reports from other users who declared they can read/guess the whole serial number. So please blur the numbers on your picture more.

We took the url to the picture out of the messages and out of the commentfield of your bill to prevent fake hits with your superb hit. When a faker enters your bill making it a faketriple we simply cannot do anything other than moderate the whole hit.

If you decide to do nothing it is your own risk that the hit can be destroyed by fakers.

A hit involving a non-EU member state is always worth pointing out (well, except for CH, they're quite common :P ):

At 18,227 kilometers it becomes the longest hit in EBT, beating by 1,704 km the old record, held by this hit from Sydney to Steenwyk. Congratulations!

I think this is one of the nicest hits ever I've seen. Much better than any of the previous ones I've had. Why? because it is the first hit of our dearest Adela.Merchan. Her first hit after 4.488 notes of severe drought 8)

Congratulations to the "hitted" users. ;)
