I agree with Yann. Now that I definitely know that I will have time to come to Brussels it is time to make arrangements. But where? Hotel or guesthouse at the other end of the city from where the action will take place makes no sense. Would be fine if we were a bit more together, or if at least we know where and when we meet in Brussels. (My mobile only works in Germany... )

My brother and I have already reserved places to stay. Just random, it doesn´t really matter where in the city it is. You can always use public transport.

I suggest we meet at 7 o'clock in the evening (19h00/7 PM) in the mainhall of Brussel Centraal (Brussels Central). This is a good meeting point because it's located in the center of Brussels. It's also easy to get there by train if you come by plain and arrive at Brussels Airport (Zaventem) and it has access to the subwaysystem.
That's done, I just bought my train tickets to Brussels. I booked a room in an hotel, too. A 4*! "Au diable l'avarice!" (The devil take miserliness)
Hmmm, I'm not sure my phone will work abroad...
Main hall at Brussels central - that´s a word at last!!! By the way, yeah, we can certainly use public transport, but at night? And I wonder if everybody can afford to take a taxi. But it is nice to have a hint now!

I don't know if Brussels has a park & ride system, never heard that it exists there.
I go by train, and I think that's the easiest way to get there. If I were you, I would park my car for free at a small railwaystation just outside Brussels (Vilvoorde, ...) and take the train to Brussel-Centraal.

Hah! You wish. If you want to get a bit closer to the city and then continue by public transport, you might consider leaving your car at one of the large Carrefour shops - usually there are hundreds of parking spaces near them as well as a subway/bus stop. Try this link http://www.hypercarrefour.be/ShopSearch ... fm?lang=nl - the only problem is that you'd need a good map or know the names of the communes you're driving through.
What about taking the metro? It would take about 20 minutes to get to Heyzel and it would spare the drivers from searching for parking spaces first near Atomium and then back in the city. I highly doubt that driving there would save any time. (Sorry for being so negative.
