Ford and GM are the big independent US manufacturers. Ford appears in Europe with the Ford label. GM has brands like Vauxhall and Opel, recently they bought Saab.Olivier wrote:Yes, all belong to General Motors... (hem, isn't GM a german company, now?)
Yes, it sounds unbelievable, but I've read about that several timesOlivier wrote:Yes, they give everyone a submarine suit...micro wrote:>>Where does your car come from?<<

BTW, Nicola, is it true that Venice will get a metro?

Here's what I know: it's an old story that I've heard for the first time about ten years ago (but it's probably older). I read that someone presented a project (micro wrote:Yes, it sounds unbelievable, but I've read about that several times

I do not have a car right now. But my first car was a Skoda and my second one was a Volkswagen Golf.. Both European.. (so I voted for thatOlivier wrote:Do you have a european car?

I wonder what they could do!! The buildings are already very damaged because of the water and the pollution of the air... And they don't need any metro. The vaporetto service is working very well! It's cheap, fast and funny.micro wrote:Yes, it sounds unbelievable, but I've read about that several timesOlivier wrote:Yes, they give everyone a submarine suit...micro wrote:>>Where does your car come from?<<

Don't mind, I noticed that Nicola often thinks in term of 1-0 or 0-1. (That's the zero-sum game.)Olivier wrote:GRRR!!!pinguino79 wrote:but the news actually appeared on the press (micro - Olivier 1-0)

I also love Venice very much!!! Maybe you are right, a metro would not really fit in such a lovely place. Subway cars rumbling through the underground would probably spoil the calmness. The vaporettos (vaporetti?) are already almost as cool as subway lines, but nicer!Olivier wrote: I love this city... venice is so nice! ... though it's very very calm in the night. I have not seen where I could have a drink and dance late in the night.
(I prefer Rome for that)
O.

vaporetti is plural of vaporettomicro wrote:I also love Venice very much!!! Maybe you are right, a metro would not really fit in such a lovely place.
