Your old cellphone??
Well, here that's common way that you leave your old phone to shop when you change phone to new one. Shops give some small discount when you leave your oldie there.
I usually save some oldies. If i lost my phone, then i have that oldie. Cellphone is only contacting equipment what i have, so it's quite important thing to me.
Just because nostalgy i saved my first cellphone, old Motorola... was it "Walkman" or something like that.

The first mobile phone I had was the old, legendary Mobira Cityman NMT. It was actually my father's phone but he didn't use it very much. The voltage was 11.5 V and when you had a long phone call the battery became so hot that you could hold the phone only with your fingertips.
After that I bought Ericsson 628. It was quite good and reliable. The only problem was it didn't function well when it was freezing.
Then I got a used Nokia 5110 from my friend and it's absolutely the best phone I've ever had. At the end, after three years, the battery was still original and it worked fine. I had to charge it only once per week. There was the well-known display problem but it would have been easy to fix. I was stupid and gave it away when I bought a new 6150. This phone is the worst one I've ever had; the keys had connection problems after a year, there were bugs in the software and sometimes it turned off itself without any reason.
I started to use my mother's 3310 after she died. Then I bought my current phone and gave my late mother's phone to my niece.

When I am fed up with my phone, I pass it on to my wife...
Then she passes her phone to the kids that can play with it...
And I have one left behind in my desk, in case something happens to the one I am using.
Maybe you can wonder what can happen to a phone ; well here are two examples that happened to me :
- My first phone got stolen (and that is VERY annoying, because, you can block the phone, but you also lose ALL your contacts that you have registered on your phone...)
- My fifth phone got crashed under my car : I am use to carry my phone in my breast pocket of my shirt and I was in the garage, the phone felt and I did not notice this. When I got the car out of the garage I heard a strange noice, but I thought that it was a toy of the kids... Too bad, it was my phone (and it really did not look OK at all

My first mobile phone was a Sagem, a really cheap one, back in 1997. It lasted almoust 3 years. Than I bought a Siemens (can't remember the model) and I've sticked with it until I changed phone last year for another Siemens, the A70. I don't like complicated phones, with cameras or MMS. I keep on using the ones that can only make phone calls and receive/send SMS. That's good enough for me...
I only change phone when they're almoust dead... so they are with me almoust 2 to 4 years.

My first GSM was a
Philips Fizz, after that
Nokia 6150
Nokia 6210
Nokia 7650 - the first smartphone with an operating system, did love it
Now I am using a Nokia 9300 and love it
I will use this one until Nokia releases a 3G version of Nokia's communicator series, because I want the datatransfer of 3G, otherwise the 9300 is great, EDGE is after all nice.
( Before my first GSM I was using an Ericsson NMT )

I use them a lot but had never spent much money in mobiles. My first was a Sagem in 1998. In 3 years I had 4 or 5 Sagems (712 and 715, blue and black, uniband and dual band) until I bought a second hand (3 months use) Siemens C35 for half the original price.
After that I "borrowed" my father's Nokia 6210 in exchange for a Nokia 3210 I won
, after two years I received a Nokia 3330 on my birthday. When it started having battery problems I returned to Siemens and bought a CV65 in a promotion for less than 100€. It has been my phone for more than a year and I hope it lasts a lot more.
