don't give up hope : just received from the bank (wall-machine) my first bill coming from Finland!!! Not brandnew and really by surprise, I was hoping to take out 20 euro bills, but they ran out, so I had 50 euro-bills instead
friendly greetz
Last Friday, I picked up 80 notes of 10 euro from a bank. Only 40 of them where from Belgium
This was the result: Belgium 50% Holland 20% Germany 15 % Austria 7,5 % France 3,75 % Italy 2,5 % Greece 1,25 %
It surpices me how fast euro notes are mixed near my hometown
My percentages:
Netherlands 70.96%
Gemany 9.68%
Belgium 6.45%
Spain 6.45%
Austria 3.23%
France 3.23%
Not bad for a small town
In big cities the euro mixes even faster. Last week I went to Bruges, I payed for something with a Dutch euro note and I got change in Belgian, French, German and Spanish coins.
this is maybe not that bad, but after all i am living in the world's tourist capital with 70 million visitors a year. That is not really showing, but the summer is only starting!
