Hi,
Usually this kind of small stamps, are from exchange offies where local currency does not have an international value. Most of the tims I've seen any of them, my passengers had bought Euros in their origin countries, mostly Colombia. They say that the stamp is a "guarantee" so in case th client has a problem with the banknote he can proove it was exchanged in that office.

They are called "chop-marks". You can find more info in this post and next ones.

You can see some of them on Peku's Euro on this page.

Letters TN into an hexagon on Turkey:
Letters and hexagon are in blue, but my scanner seems to be colourblind :-)

Your scanner actually let's you scan bills? Mine won't let me, it thinks it can stop bill counterfeiting all on its own lol. I have to take a picture whenever I find an interesting note, and I find it to be a very awkward object to photograph.

Olá, Senhor Burns,

É incrível, but I never believed too much this you say, since my scanner is quite modern but it allows me to scan banknotes. This is a safety feature called EURion Constellation that appears on many banknotes wordwide, not only Euros. Anyway I don't care any longer my friends see me taking photos of the bills with my cellphone... 8O 8) You could try hiding some of the little circles if you feel bad using your cellphone in public.

I think the EURion Constellation works quite well but a bit different: Your scanner only scans in greyscales if it finds EURion Constellation.

Interesting info, I had no idea how the whole thing worked. Well, I'd be perfectly happy if my scanner made a black&white scan, it would be enough to show a stamp or something else. But it won't let me at all.

PLATE V002 EXISTS!!!

Until now I had seen only four V001s, some V003s, 75% of my total of V004, V005s and V006s. I had already sterted to think plate V002 did not exist, or had not been used, or maybe for some quality reasons could have been destroyed... But no: I got a V002 Europafiver.

BUT...

My first V002 came with a green'n'red grin, as if it had been in Portugal...

I insist in rminding that photos can be uploades to EBT using the "Upload attached files" link below the writing case whe opening "ANSWER" (or REPLY or whtever it writes in english), and that click on an image shows it complete.
