Well I don't even use my 5e notes, so I can't see myself using 1e notes.

I don't use 5€'s too. It's too small for doing food shopping, or any else.

Well, just yesterday morning, i changed my 5€ notes to 20€ in one food shop. There was 280€, so there will be good possibility to get my first hit(s)... or not... i have allmost 700 notes inserted, and NO hits.

I had to handle these dirty things during my holidays in the USA. It is not much fun to pay with worn-out and soiled notes. I'm really glad we don't have these. BTW: It was the same with the old 1000 Lire notes.

I agree. I have kept a 1000-lire note, but it took me quite a while, to find a note, that looked a bit decent...
Please, no notes with a low value.

Ah well, that can easily be fixed ... Last year a member of the French parliament - Louis Giscard d'Estaing (UMP) - started yet another initiative for such low value notes. http://web.ifrance.com/actu/economie/171801 Hmm, might the fact that he is a representative of Puy-de-Dôme, and the mayor of Chamalières, home of Banque de France's bank note printing works, have influenced his campaign in any way? Anyway, it is not exactly hard to figure out what the response of the ECB was.

And then there is that e-petition in Germany that suggests doing away with the €500 note. https://epetitionen.bundestag.de/index. ... ition=1914 Basically a good idea in my opinion, except that it's not the German federal parliament that could make such a decision.

thay already stoped printing 200 and than stop 500 , fire whoever is in charge i would say
