London in August

Hi !

I will be on holiday in London between the 6th and 19th of August.

What must be seen there as a tourist (excepted the famous monuments) ?

Does anyone know about the main trade fairs, concerts, special events occuring in London and its suburbs during this period ?

I'd reccomend the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions.

London Transport Museum is interesting -- but closed until autumn. But the museum shop is almost more interesting -- and it's open now, bigger than ever!

If you like books: Blackwell's and Foyles are the best, both at Charing Cross Road.
