Reading something in the Dutch forum, about a user who has already 3 hits due to writing the URL on his notes, made me think about the fact that there is another way of referring.
I think there is even a fairly good way to detect if a user was referred to EBT by an URL written on a note.
First there has to be a hit of course. Secondly the note has to be one of the first notes entered by the hitter (the person who enters the note for the second time).
Of course there is a limitation to this. If a note gets hit more than once the problem emerges that you can?t say if the first person was the one referring, the second one or someone further in the chain.
In my case this way of referring doesn?t apply to me (yet). Because I have not hits, and I don?t mark my bills (with the exception of 2 bills). But it might be interesting for somebody else.
