Post by Olivier »

Hi Dobber!

Do you feel that Danes are interested in €, now?
Will you vote again soon?

Would be great

Still many danes are against it for some reason, and a new vote will first be in 2-4 year I suppose.
That is sad, because we have been left "outside" the group.

I think the way Germany solved the problem was great, the government just accepted the euro without making a vote first.

Danes may use € and the danish crown !

Post by Olivier »

After all, Danes could use the DAK and the € ! :-)

In France, a referendum took place for the Maastricht treaty, in 1993. So we voted for the Euro. But people only realised it... in 2001! ;-)

Don't quit DAK too quickly, I still have some coins and notes from my last trip to Copenhagen, in last november. :o)

I've been to London 10 day's ago and there it is also not possible to pay with euro's. Only the big warehouses accept them, but it is cheaper to use pounds... :(

Even with the change fees, it doesn't worth it? We have to pay fees to change € for £ in banks...

Do you what the situation is in Switzerland? All their neighbours have € ...

I've got all the coins from Luxemburg. I don't have yet all the coins from Portugal, Finland and Greece. :-)

I should travel more often :-). I don't have that many coins yet. But you gotta admit, collecting those coins is a really expensive hobby, at least in the end, don't you think? :D
Anyways, I think this site is real cool. I haven't had much luck with my bills yet, but I like the thought of being able to find out who's had "my" bill(s) in his/her hands, and that all over Europe.

Cheers,

El Jimi
