Problems with flags

Post by Gugle »

Serbia's flag is red, blue and white horizontal stripe, not blue, white, red.

Flag used for Kosovo is Albanian flag. Kosovo's flag is blue with yellow shape and stars in the middle. Also, I am sure that some of EBT users think that the name of this region should not be listed at all, because the legality of self-proclaimed state is very disputable.

You are right about the Serbian flag, It should be moderated.

The Kosovo flag is already made (http://www.eurobilltrackerforum.com/vie ... 365#523365) However i disagree with you about the point of it should be listed or not. the
"county" is recognized by a lot of european counties. In your profile i see you are from serbia, that makes the discussion a bit difficult i think cause i think we all know how the majority of serbia thinks about kosovo

In fact Kosovo was already listed much earlier than the self proclaimed independence.
Might be due to the fact that the euro was used there from 2002. But well, same goes for Montenegro - but that country wasn't listed before it independence.

EDIT : I made a mistake, it meant before, not after

You mean before it's independence, right?

@Gugle: Here are 2 flag-suggestions for Serbia, which one is the official version?
Image simple tricolour or
Imagewith coat-of-arms on it (sorry, tried my best but couldn't get it more clearly)

How come aren't all the flags in the emoticons' box? :) I saw quite a number of people that have them in their post. Since when EBTracking is involved countries are too...

If they will take a lot of space to put them all together with the emoticons they can be put in another folder that one could access it directly through the post-reply box by means of for example: the world flag, or just simply the word 'FLAGS'. They could even be put in catgories (box/folder) like: all Euroland or all EU or all Europe in one box; you can have- ASIA; AFRICA; MidEAST; OCEANIA, AMERICAS.

Hi, Gugle! Sorry, but I saw only today this topic. First of all, welcome to the EBT forum. :P

When Kosovo became independent, I tried to start a discussion about the future of the area; you can find it here, but, alas, no many people were interested.
The problem with Kosovo is that also if UN still haven’t recognized it, it is recognized by many countries and it is de facto independent from Serbia since 1999 as a NATO protectorate.

If you see, there is a sort of “compromise” (I don’t know if this is casual or not): you can’t see Kosovo in the EBT map of Europe, but it is in the country list.
Of course the flag is not the right one and I hope the EBT team will correct it.

The flags in the emoticon box are the flags of the €-countries. There is one exception: because it's used so often the flag of the UK is also added to the emoticon box.

The other flags you can find at http://eurobilltracker.eu/img/flags/XXXXXXXXX.gif (in which XXXXXXXXX is the name of the country in English)

If you want to show such a flag you can use the Image (for Serbia it would be: Image)

[I think you should add the swiss flag. Switzerland has much more bills than UK and is the first non-EU country in the bills ranking.

a little trick:

choose the country (you want post the flag) from banknotes list on left side.
after that "copy & paste" the flag picture with mouse right button
