Mayotte to join France/EU by 2011

Post by doiknow »

The Comore Island Mayotte will become a departement of France in 2011. This means it will become a part of France and thus a part of the EU. I wonder if any of them will be tracking bills here by 2011. I guess they have several more serious problems:

One Currency, one Union, one Eurobilltracker...
My dots are of the same order as 10.

They can already now: Mayotte is one of the French territories that aren't formally part of EU but uses the same the euro (the other is Saint Pierre et Miquelon).

Indeed, they already use euros.
But do you think the island will appear on the new bank notes, just like Guyana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Réunion?

should be as soon as it will be a "departement" instead of a "territoire"
