If you want more info (not much, though), then visit http://ww2.yle.fi/pls/show/frameUutiset and click "YLE News" on the left. You should find the headline there.

It looks like whole the world has electricity problems the last weeks. USA, Finland, .... In Belgium too :? ... Has it anything to do with extra radiation from out of space? Storms on the sun?? Or is it just bad luck?

Good thing that the server started working by itself after reboot since Avij is away for a few days (or did Avij do it?). It would be great to have an UPS for EBT-server...

Some assemblers made a mistake. I think those guys are feeling very sorry at the moment...

Three power stations went down in Helsinki area. The funny thing is that it effected also here near to Hämeenlinna, about 100 km north from Helsinki. I was in our living room and the ceiling lights dimmed for a moment. I think there must have been a big overload in the main network for a moment when electicity has streamed to south. I wonder whoat would have happened if that had caused a chain reaction, i.e. burned some fuses and relays in the main network of the country...? :?

Actually a lot more more. Helsinki has 539363 people, Vantaa has 171297 people, Kerava has 29830 people. The capital city area (Espoo, Helsinki, Vantaa, Kauniainen), that is practically one city (because Helsinki can't expand on it's own area any more), has almost 1 000 000 people.
You can find populations of different Finnish towns (all of them) from http://www.fennica.net/ and then by clicking the letters under the text "Kaikki kunnat ja kaupungit". "Väkiluku" means "population".
