How many times have you made mistakes?

Post by BogPoet »

I've become an EBT-er in mid-April and up until last month, I had never requested bill info changes. Now, I've just sent my third in four weeks. :? The advanced form usually gets me to do this, because I forget to change the default location (all my bill info change requests have had to do with location). So, I'm curious: how many times have you requested to have your bill info changed?

I once typed a page full of notes and accidentally sent them as been tracked in Turku although they were tracked in Hämeenlinna. I sent a message to the webmaster and Emmem kindly made the corrections needed. :)

I've once sent a fiver as 10-euro note and it's still incorrect, haven't bothered to make a request about correcting that one...

But it's strange the system accepted it. Shouldn't there be a some kind of control :?:

One I entered a 20EUR as a 50EUR. I never noticed until the stats on EBT were active. There my total value was 30EUR more than in my own database.
I still don't know how that could ever happen since I always copy/paste them. The ammount of notes is the same in both databases though....

Anyway, I also didn't bother to notify this mistake because I don't know which note it is. And I really don't want to check them all! :)

Once, I've made a mistake using the advanced form, so that's already +9 mistakes   ... but I can correct them myself. I'm a corrector too (if I have some time). So I didn't had to ask someone to correct them 8) .

Never. But since I don't enter many notes (only all of my own notes), I have time to check them a couple of times before sending.

I didn't have problems with the location so far, but sometimes it bothers me that I have to change the pre-filled default instead of just entering something.

Hi Webmaster...couldn't you leave the location info empty as default for the expert entry form, but then add a (javaScripted) button to enter the default location by one click? It might even be labelled with the (individual) default vaues. That would minimize these errors. If left empty instead of a simple confirmation the server should ask for the location. That's my ideas about that.
BTW, are you tracking/considering different postal codes for the same city? All bigger cities (not only in Germany, I know at least about the Netherlands, UK and France) have more than one postal code.
