Euro 2004 groups

Post by ag_pt »

Hello
Today (20th November 2003) UEFA just announced the Euro 2004 seedings for the draw of 30th November that will define the 4 groups.
We have these seedings:
Pot A: France, Portugal, Czech Republic, Sweden
Pot B: Germany, Italy, England, Spain
Pot C: Netherlands, Denmark, Croatia, Russia
Pot D: Bulgaria, Greece, Switzerland, Latvia
(we have seven euro currency countries!)
Each group will have one member extracted from each pot.
We will have to wait 10 days to start making bets. I have my tickets already but don't know the opponents of Portugal!

I'd like Portugal to be in the same group as Spain (so we can beat the hell out of them ;) - although Portugal's performances haven't been top notch lately... :? 8-0 against Kuwait is nice, but it's not really a top team, now, is it?)

Portugal, Spain, Netherlands and... Latvia, why not? ;) That'd be nice.

Yeah, we beat the English in 2000 and the Croatians in 96. So, why not repeat the joyride? ;)

That would be great for Portugal!
But I hope Netherlands will be in the group with Germany, Switzerland and Czech Republic, those above were my 'guesses'

it's a pity Finland couldn't make it.. it would be a fantastic oportunity to get some Finland-Portugal hits.. and to get some of those rare coins too..

well, at least Greece is comming :P haven't seen all greek coins yet.. although a Greece-Portugal hit is far more difficult..
