Old P006.. /P..... Duisenberg 5 euro note

Got one of these old P /P notes last night.(Duisenberg)
I don`t get too many,but every time I do,I am hoping that it is an old Vermeer.
This time it was`nt

I had a look at the tables,and can see a lot of these notes being entered.
Are most of these old notes,or are new P/P notes being printed all the time ?

Of course,any hit would be good.
But with and old note like this ,you would hope to get a hit with 2500 - 3000 days or more.

P/P ... that would be: printed in Germany for the Netherlands? I've never seen those.

You don`t see too many (P/P) about.I think this was only my 2nd or 3rd.
It was a P006../P02.........
I got another P02......... last night ,but the short code was G004.. (was`nt a hit)

I am always looking for old notes ,I just get more of a buzz from entering them.

Your hit note was`nt that old, U006../M15... and I was`nt expecting a hit with it.
But it was ripped and cellotaped together,the paper was covered in dirt and it was soft and worn.
Good job the bank did`nt get it.

I think the note is gone already.I did`nt think anyone would want it.
I got a P002../X019 Duisenberg last night (no hit),but I suppose there are more of these around.

These notes (P006/P) are among the earliest Dutch notes. I'm not sure if they where printed before the introduction of the Euro or just after. They start at serial number P023 up to P031 (and indeed G004/P can go up to P022). The G001-G004 notes are either older than P/P (if P printed just after Euro introduction) or just as old. They were definitely printed before the Euro introduction.

I've got 15 of P/P all in , and they're indeed somewhat likely to hit.

Yes it was a P026.........
It is not the first that I have seen here.
Maybe the irish banks got them in at the start of the euro.

That G004../P.... note was a P020

I will try and see if I had any more P/P notes and let you know.
I dont know the best way to organise the data so that I can check it quickly.

P024.....
P025.....
P031.....
I had 2 more G004/P.... P013 and P018
Also a G001../P003.....

out of those, 7 hits.
so i guess you could say that the hitratio is pretty good.....

7 from 190 is very good,much higher than your total hit ratio,which is also excellent.
I am getting close to you on the notes entered,but on the hits I am a long way behind.
I think I will have to move to Groningen for a few months to give my hit ratio a boost.

and spend the whole time going in and out of shops begging people for euro notes.
I think `s and `s are the best to leave behind as they stay in circulation a bit longer.

I was expecting another hit by now.

I only turned over about 100 notes (i.e. spent 100 notes in the country and got 100 back out of ATMs and in change). I took a lot of small bills from Ireland to pay for big things like to hotels, trains etc, and took a lot of large bills, like 50s & 100s, to pay for small things like souvenirs and meals.

I didn't go to the banks and exchange masses of 5s in shops for 2 reasons:

• I was active mostly at night, having gone there to chase the Aurora Borealis. I also didn't really know where the banks were.
• I didn't think to/hadn't started exchanging notes en-masse until the last few months.

The damnedest thing was, that I got 3 "active" hits among my 96 acquired notes, but of all the notes I dropped there, none have as of yet been found by any of the 1500-odd Finns who play the game.

On the plus side, I've found that when you have a big stack of 5s, you will rarely have a problem exchanging them in shops for larger denominations, as shops usually have to give out 5s in change, when people buy something and pay with a larger bill than required.

The only exceptions are, when:
When the cashier cannot open the drawer without registering a sale.
When the cashier recently did a "drop" moving large bills from their till to another location
When making change for customers (or otherwise) is expressly forbidden by the organisation (Dunnes Stores being a big offender in this area).

A day in Dublin is planned also.
Although,it would be nice to go to for 1 or 2 nights just to see how many notes would hit.

The cashier was giving me 10 old `s but could only find 8 and at the last second grabbed the because it was cellotaped together.
