Hi, I wonder if anyone of the approx. 4300 users has come across a false Eurobill yet?
And if so, did you notice on entering this note, or did you find out when you received it?
What did you do with the note: kept it as a curiosity, did you hand it to the bank, or what did you do with it?

Fortunetly I never got any, but curiously yesterday I was in a queu inside the bank when one woman of the bank caught a fake note.. I think they called the police and destroyed the note...
Heh, reminds me of a funny story I read in a magazine once.
There was this couple of Russian guys making fake bills. They had all the good equipment, and did it all really professionally.
When they wanted to use their money, the bank employee looked at the bills and told them they had done a really good job, and he could hardly have seen it was fake money. Except they hadn't spelled "Russia" correctly...
I work in a courtain store in the weekend and we have had one fake note once. It was a 100 euro bill and it was very good to see it was fake.
I think it it was very crowd and the one who take the bill didn't see it.
It was clearly made with a regular deskjet printer. We brought the bill to the police.

You should keep that note. Either it's a fake or it'll get valuable sometime.
Yes I'm planning to keep it.
Well, it will allways be worth at least 5 Euro. Unless it's a forgery. Anyway it can't be tracked by Eurobilltracker and I want every bill I lay my hand on to be tracked. (up tilll now there are only 2 such bills who escaped from my registration).

Hey, I'll use those pictures when I update the FAQ one of these days ! Ok ?
OK.
By the way the maksed serial of the bill is U2x075813xxx (i'm using the censored notation because this is an Eurotic site, not a Peurnographic ).

Didn’t enter it in EBT too since a valid printer code is required.
No printer code
Is it genuine or fake? Which denomination?
It's a 5 Euro bill. It looks genuine apart from the missing printer code. And it's a bit smaller than another 5 Euro note I have.
I'm getting the impression this bill went trough a washing machine.
Well, the fact that you mention that your bill is somewhat smaller than a regular one seems to make it a falsification.

Euro bills are printed on pure cotton. I guess that the laws of washing clothes also apply to Euro bills. So the fact that the bill is slightly smaller than the others could indicate that somebody thought this bill was so dirty he or she had to wash it.
They should put a sign on those bills : do not wash at more than 30 degrees (Celsius).
whehe
Well in the past I had sometimes a washed bill in my pockets.
When my mom washed my pants and there was still some money in my pockets....
Well, mostly the bills survived
