Help with UK post code

Hi! I am from the US and am a member of http://www.WheresGeorge.com Which tracks US Dollars. I was wondering about Post Codes over in UK. This one person entered my bill and had Post Code 12321 and said they are from W, UK? Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks -Darb

I think it's just someone who invented a postal code.

The funny thing is that I didn't realize that I could enter ZIPCode of US Army base in Vicenza...

It's an US zipcode. The base is under US jurisdiction, even though it's located inside the city.
They have their own TV and radio station and they use dollars.

Okay, but what if you want to send someone a post card. what will the address look like.

Then the card will probably be send to the US first. Or do the italien post people know it has to stay within the country.

There were soldiers in France in the '50s, but they left when De Gaulle asked them to live.
In Orléans, where I was born, there was a big US Military base... and many girls of Orléans got married with american soldiers.
One of my cousin lives now in Vermont, with her husband and children.
