Even BE's old coins aren't terribly common over here, I shall imagine it will be a while before I find one of those new ones...

So, it would be really hard to find that kind of coin for someone who lives far away from Benelux countries.

I found a new Belgian 50 cent coin, already quite a long time ago, as it was in July this year. I have been in

Utrecht for the local Dutch 2014 meeting and asked at the reception whether it was possible, to change some

into larger notes. So, I got the attention of the bored member of staff, and she also looked through the coins they had, as I said that I was looking for new Dutch ones. She didn't find a Dutch, but the new Belgian one

. But I am sure that it came directly from Belgium, as there was a car with a Belgian license plate in the parking area of the hotel until Saturday/Sunday (they must have left before I got up on Sunday but I didn't have a look on Saturday evening either).

I do suppose, that the 2€ 2014 CC "The Great War Centenary" doesn't really count, but I found one of them around October 20th in

Münster (Westfalen) which makes it the only one (until now) that I didn't find in Belgium on holiday this summer (ok, I only found one over there, so no masses at all

).

And if anyone finds "in circulation" the latest €2 CC "Croix-Rouge 150 ans - Rode Kruis 150 jaren" : he's VERY LUCKY !!!

New belgian coins are quite common in Italy.

Finding €2 CC "Croix-Rouge 150 ans - Rode Kruis 150 jaar" from circulation in Belgium will be almost impossible as at least at NBB Hasselt, all coins they had are sold to collectors

is not that hard to find in Flanders.
