help needed with a puzzle concerning euro note’s

Hi,

We would like some help with a puzzle concerning euro note’s.

My wife and I are enthousiastic geocachers. In the geocaching game one tries to find a cache (mostly a box with some goodies in it) by knowing it’s GPS-coordinates. Mostly one has to visit more points in the field to collect the data to necessary for the construction of the coordinates of the end-point.
Another type is the puzzle-cache. In order to obtain the coordinates, you have to solve a riddle or a puzzle. We are working on this puzzle where we need to know the euro-value of some notes, which are given by their serial number and a smaller sequence on the other site of the note.
