Mini-banners, Sky-scrappers, buttons, ...

Post by AN1 »

Hi everybody.

It would be very useful to have other EBT banner formats, in order to promote our beloved EuroBillTracker website in every way we can (personal websites, blogs, e-mails, ...)

Right now, there is only a single EBT banner format available for use, in the ABOUT THIS SITE / HOW TO HELP SECTION

This format is not appropriate for many situations: smaller, thinner, wider, rotated, ... formats are better in many places and occasions.

For guys like me, who are not handy with any image, photo or multimedia software  - it would be a great help.

Does anyone has other formats (mini-banners, sky-scrappers, buttons, ...) that would be so kind to share with me and us all :?:

To illustrate what I mean, I you can check Where's George website, where we can find a section with some other formats available: http://www.wheresgeorge.com/user_links.php

Can somebody help :?:

I also leave this sugestion for the improvement of the EuroBillTracker section mentioned above.

Have a great Friday and an even better Weekend :!:

Let's make a competition, I am sure that we have some artists here

These are perfect for the forum and for e-mail signatures, but they have not enough information for websites/blogs. Thank you any way.

ElBarto shows a good format one - but I agree it could be improved visually
Having good EBT banners and alike at our personal websites/blogs/etc can seriously improve new users.

I totally support alex77r idea of a competition.
I am sure we have some artists who can show us very good ones - who knows even a few works of art :!:

There is room for visual improvements so it catches the eye quicklier and instigates interest stronger. But please do not be too strict with yourself. Your message is clear anyway.

If there are others propositions, I can organize a competition with a poll.

Here are some links to obtain pictures of euro notes :

And there is obviously Google Images.

Nevertheless, it's a pity that we don't have the EBT logo in hi-res :(

Just make sure that no serial numbers are visible in any of the banners etc.

Here you are, mister :)

I am not perfectly content with the toes, but I figure this is otherwise good enough.

I also made a slightly different version. This one isn't trying to be such a 100% copy of the original EBT Paw. I actually think this one is better when used in big size and should be preferred over the more original one I've posted earlier.
But then again, if you want to have a precise version of micro's original logo, then my first version suits you better.

So, here we go: http://koti.mbnet.fi/tuukkar/ebt_vinot.png (bitmap) and http://koti.mbnet.fi/tuukkar/ebt_vinot.svg (vector)

I like it, but the brownish colour isn't to attractive to look at, I think it would look better in EbT blue, don't know if it is possible to make for you but it would look more attractive with 20 notes in the background imo.
