Saturday, we will meet at 10 o´clock at the Kottbusser Brücke (Maybachufer/Kottbusser Damm). You can reach it with the metro U1 at Kottbusser Tor or metro U8 at Kottbusser Tor or Schönleinstr. At 10.30 our ship set sails to a "Brückenfahrt", containing a three hour ride around the center of Berlin on the Spree and the Landwehrkanal, and giving some nice views on e.g. the Oberbaumbrücke, Mühlendammschleuse, Museumsinsel so forth and so on. This tour will cost 12,-- Euro per people. If you need a translation for the explanations, you can rent a headset in hopefully one understandable language (I think English should fit for most of you) for another 3 Euros. After arriving at about 13.45 back at Kottbusser Brücke, there will be some spare time for you, when you might get some food, notes, enjoying the Kreuzberg-Experience or whatever you want to do. (It won't be that easy to cover all of your interests in just one programme, so we think, it would be better to give you some time to discover Berlin on your own. If you need some hints, we will help you...)
At the latest 16.45 we will meet again in the center east, at the Alexanderplatz in front of the Weltzeituhr
, because at 17.00 we will go up the Fernsehturm to have a nice view over Berlin from about 200m above. This event will cost another 6 Euro. After an hour we will go to saturdays main meeting location, the Sombrero, where we are expected at around 19.00 o´clock. For travelling there, you´ll have to take the S-Bahn from station Alexanderplatz to Friedrichstr. There you will have to change the lines, just go downstairs to the underground S-Bahn-station where you will have to take the train from the S1 heading to Wannsee or Zehlendorf and leave the train at Rathaus Steglitz.
