Olá. Sim Alfragide é uma parte da cidade da Amadora. Portanto a localidade deve ser Amadora.

(English below, for lazy foreigners :P )

  • Alegro Alfragide (incluindo o Auchan Alfragide)
  • Antarte Alfragide
  • Auchan Energy Alfragide
  • Caetano Auto Alfragide
  • Cash Converters Alfragide
  • C. Santos VP Alfragide
  • Espaço Casa Alfragide
  • Galp A.S. Alfragide N117 sentido descendente
  • Holiday Inn Express Lisboa Alfragide
  • Hôma Alfragide
  • Leroy Merlin Alfragide
  • Makro Alfragide
  • MediaMarkt Alfragide
  • Norauto Alfragide
  • Obramat Alfragide
  • Radio Popular Alfragide
  • Repsol E.S. Makro-Alfragide
  • Seaside Alfragide
  • Staples Alfragide

English here:

Yes, Alfragide is now (and it has been for 46 years, in fact) a parish within the city of Amadora. The Portuguese Wikipedia article on Alfragide is wrong, saying that it is a locality.

Note: there are some shops that call themselves "Alfragide" but they are not in Alfragide or Amadora. If the place you're interested in isn't IKEA (which is in Amadora), but is on the other side of the "Cabos de Ávila" (the N117), in the so-called "Zona Comercial de Alfragide" , then it's probably in the list above. Tell me which one it is and I'll tell you the correct location.

Congratulations AEOVP and Josel on your first quadruple hit!

I am curious do you work at the same place, often track in the exact same area of Lisboa or is there some friendly hit action going on? (you know you can always moderate if some accidents happen)

Oh wow that's interesting, I really thought you must at least know each other.

Sorry if I sounded too accusatory and congratulations again on this even more amazing hit then ;)

Hope I will also find a note of you at some point :)

I believe that AEOVP found, by chance, a hotspot, where Josel leaves his small notes often (for example, a supermarket).

I am pretty sure that AEOVP registers all their notes in the same postal code regardless of where they got the notes, and I believe it to be the postal code of their home or work, but not the place where they get most hits, the so-called hotspot.

Congratulations to all involved!

Obrigado, Inviterbo, for entering this note I found back in a village butcher in Vichte. It was my first hit, this month, and immediately a very nice one (I got a second hit today, more local, shortly after).

Dankjewel, groentje! Our first hit. :D

I had a longish period without hits too, than I had two active ones on the same batch of withdrawn notes yesterday, and this one less than a day later. :D

It's my 6th hit ever with Image West-Vlaanderen, each of them with a new EBTor. It's a fruitful region. :)

My first hit with Northern Ireland :D
Thank you also for entering this note first. I'm very happy with this hit, as it's the eighth hit involving Northern Ireland, and one of the most interesting of those eight hits. :D

Olá pessoal Portuguese EBT:ers :D

I'm heading to Portugal for the first time since becoming an ebtor, more specifically Lisboa, and I can't wait at all! I would like to ask whether there's some great ways of getting notes, exchange machines e.g., and whether there's some ATM:s providing :note-5: Do ATM:s charge a fee for the withdrawal or are there free ones?

Thank you very much in advance, looking forward to hopefully getting some Portuguese hits! And of course for you some Danish hits.. Greetings!

  • Exchange machines
They are few and far between around here... or simply non-existent - I don't recall any discussion about such a machine anywhere in Portugal (I'm assuming you're talking about this sort of thing).

  • :note-5: ATM's
These we do have! Unfortunately it's a dying breed, they were more common in the past. Known bank branches and other locations listed here:

viewtopic.php?t=55410

Scroll down to the :note-5: list, and then to Lisboa district - the sources in Lisbon proper have a postal codes starting with 1. The postal codes starting with 2 indicate they are towns in other areas (mostly suburban Lisbon) in the Lisbon district, which is actually quite larger than just Lisbon municipality.

  • Fees
There are no service fees in the Multibanco ATM network - if you're withdrawing from a non-euro account you might be charged an exchange fee, I'm not entirely sure. I would stay away from non-Multibanco machines (the infamous Euronet Worldwide et al).

Obrigado Montgomery Burns for the detailed information!

Yeah, I was thinking exactly about that kind of machine.. Well, that would be just too easy wouldn't it? Do you know where in Europe they still exist?

But wonderful that you have ATMs with :note-5:! Can't wait to try them out. I'm from Denmark, so I do have a non-euro account, but it wasn't like I was taken by surprise of some skyhigh fees when I went to Spain this summer. So I'm confident! And the Euronet ATMs.. they should be banned haha

Christmas greetings from Denmark 🌲

Please note that if you want to withdraw only :note-5: notes from an Multibanco that dispenses :note-10: and :note-5: notes, you can only withdraw 10€ at a time to receive two :note-5: notes. If you withdraw 50€, for example, you will receive four :note-10: notes and two :note-5: notes. If the ATM only has :note-20: and :note-5: notes, you can only withdraw 20€ to ensure you receive four :note-5: notes. There are machines that allow you to choose the type of notes, but they are not part of the Multibanco network and you would have to be a customer of that bank.
