I would say let your good sense guide you.

If I was in that situation, I think I would enter the note with the location of the airport of departure. The note has been there, and you bring at a great distance further and probably spend it there so there is a nice chance for a great distance (international) hit. That chance is a lot smaller if the note is entered at the place of arrival.

In any case entering is better than not to enter it at all

Enter it as gotten from any place you happen to find the best one (France, UK, Ireland) and tell in the comment field, that you got the note in a plane flying from <insertNameOfAirportHere> to <insertNameOfSomeOtherAirportHere>.

You have the choice... but don't forget to put it in the comments. It' interesting and there are not so many flying bills. :) :P

I think there's no point using the postal code of the place where you are flying above.

If I bought something during a flight from Frankfurt to Porto when the plane is above Paris and then log the note with post code of Paris it would be quite strange to me as then I would have got a note in France even I have never been in the whole country.

I think it's the best using the airport address where the plane has left, like Frankfurt in this case. Then I know the note has been to Frankfurt for sure.

Hmm, I already entered it, and used the airport of departure. I guess the note was there at one stage, so it doeasn't really matter too much.

It brought up an interesting number of replies though ;-)

Candypet - why don't you register as a user? We could do with some more Irish people on the forum
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Well.. An Irish person probably gets enough Irish notes even without doing that :)

With a little care and attention it should not be a problem to find out the correct zip-code. I have printed directories from Germany and you can find any zip you need in the Internet. Use your phantasy!

It is, by the way, very frustrating when I track cities without a dot on the map and then I have to find that I cannot enter the longitudes and latitudes because poor care is taken for a correct "zip-"ing.
