Since I work in tourism, from April/May through the end of September, I track tons of
notes. That's because many non-European guests —especially from Switzerland and the Czech Republic — exchange their currency before arriving in Italy. In Winter, it’s a bit less common because many shops and hotels are closed. Here, paying with
notes is still OK, but I notice that credit cards are increasingly taking over.

yesterday from the currency exchange. Unfortunately it has a torn in the middle of the note.. any advice how to repair it in the best possible way? Thanks!

Do you need to repair that? Just put some adhesive tape (teippi) over it.

The bank clerks also repair such euronotes. They use the brand "Scotch Magic Tape".
